Troubleshooting Ports

VRI Direct has very few port requirements as indicated in the Network Requirements section of our Minimum Requirements article.

The minimum required outbound-only port is TCP 443. You can verify that TCP 443 is open simply by visiting our homepage at https://vridirect.com. If you can see the page, the port is open!

If you also want to improve your audio and video quality even more, then please open UDP 3478, 540, and 540. Testing UDP ports usually requires IT tools such as netcat, Windows PowerShell scripts, or other tools. However, you can set up a VRI call between yourself and another user who has his or her UDP ports open and observe the call quality.
